About The Doctor
Dr. Koithan is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 30 years of clinical experience in the greater Des Moines area. He completed his psychiatric residency at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry and Mental Health Sciences, one of the nation’s most respected psychiatry training programs. Dr. Koithan was also among the first providers in the Des Moines area to offer deep TMS therapy for major depressive disorder, using BrainsWay technology, bringing this advanced, non-invasive treatment option to local patients ahead of the curve. He is currently accepting new and follow-up appointments for medication management, psychotherapy, and TMS therapy.
